Honey Vanilla French Toast

A random request from my 3 year old son, that turned into a quick and easy weekend breakfast. With just a few pantry staples I was able to whip this up in a matter of minutes.

Honey Vanilla French Toast

Ingredients:

  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 4 slices of bread (I used whole wheat)

Directions:

  1. Heat pan over medium heat and coat with non-stick spray or butter
  2. Whisk together eggs, honey, and milk
  3. Submerge bread slices to soak in egg mixture and add to pan. Cook 1-2 min on each side until no longer wet and golden brown
  4. Remove from pan, add desired toppings

Notes:

  • You can sub regular milk for the almond milk. If you don’t have vanilla flavored milk you can add a 1/2 tsp vanilla to the egg mixture.
  • This recipe is not overly sweet, if you want a sweeter batter increase the amount of honey
  • I made this for just 2 people, but this recipe can be easily doubled.
