A random request from my 3 year old son, that turned into a quick and easy weekend breakfast. With just a few pantry staples I was able to whip this up in a matter of minutes.
Honey Vanilla French Toast
Ingredients:
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 4 slices of bread (I used whole wheat)
Directions:
- Heat pan over medium heat and coat with non-stick spray or butter
- Whisk together eggs, honey, and milk
- Submerge bread slices to soak in egg mixture and add to pan. Cook 1-2 min on each side until no longer wet and golden brown
- Remove from pan, add desired toppings
Notes:
- You can sub regular milk for the almond milk. If you don’t have vanilla flavored milk you can add a 1/2 tsp vanilla to the egg mixture.
- This recipe is not overly sweet, if you want a sweeter batter increase the amount of honey
- I made this for just 2 people, but this recipe can be easily doubled.
